The thesis investigates the system of Parkinson’s-related services and actors involved in the context of Prato, highlighting a significant communication fragmentation that affects the quality of care provided. It proposes a service system concept provided by the Fresco Parkinson Institute Foundation which aims to empower people with Parkinson’s to autonomously manage their care by integrating medical expertise with community resources. The adopted methodology is characterized by an iterative process that combines ethnographic research with participatory approaches, involving people and experts through interviews, focus groups, co-design sessions and prototyping activities.
