Lately, cars on the roads have risen sharply, with vehicle emissions making up roughly 25% of total greenhouse gases. Europe aims for climate neutrality by 2050, with zero transport emissions and a ban on combustion vehicles by 2035. New technologies offer solutions especially effective in urban areas, but also with a potential for extra-urban context, like highways. The Mes Mobility project seeks to transform highways into mobility hubs through a shared, electric vehicle service aligned with the MaaS model, creating an intermodal and sustainable user experience. Autobrennero S.p.A. was selected as a pilot site for this initiative, offering a practical context to test Mes mobility solutions.
